Considering i am pregnant this is about the last thing on my mind right now haha but when i was vegetarian i used to do a lot of juice fasts. I do think they are beneficial as long as you know your limits and are smart about it. It’s good to detox the body every now and then, especially for intense spiritual cleansing. Its been a ritual passed down through the ancients. Although i do believe when we fast, we also find ourselves completely ungrounded. I find myself to be more airy-fairy floating on the clouds mentally then say if i had some grounding proteins but that is just how my body is, everyone is different. So it’s truly up to where you are at on your spiritual journey. Sometimes it’s good to do intense fasting/detoxing to help the body and spirit, although when we do this like anything what needs healed will likely surface during these experiences because you are symbolically doing a “cleanse”. With all cleanses, emotions are involved and it will bring up what we need to confront within ourselves, that is why fasting is spiritually oriented because it is telling the body not only to physically detox but mentally as well. So as always caution and good health should be warranted, don’t fast if you have malnutrition, anemia, protein deficiency, illness, etc.
