Hello theawkenedstate <3 I have a question. My ajna chakra is so open and can lead me into presence and really high states in meditation and yoga but can also space me incredibly out so that I get very scared and lost up there, in thought! It is a gift but difficult aswell. I absolutely love being grounded, but it’s hard for me because of years of fleeing up in the head because of “bad” selfesteem. Meditation is what makes it the most troublesome, It’s almost like ajna gets charged up and has some kind of coherence with the mental aspect. I world say I’m easily scared of the dark, of going insane (biggest fear – experience showed me I can’t go mad but I scare myself with it anyways like: “Am I high up now? I feel different! I don’t have contact with the physical!” Do you have any advice for me? I know that mindfulness is grounding for me so I try to keep in contact with my body all the time but still its difficult the whole thing. How do I become real grounded? Maybe I know all I need and just lookes for answers from outside myself but I think It’s good to talk to someone from the path, I don’t know many to ask.
Thank you, from Emilie

artifexxxI think you pretty much answered your own question, you definitely need to work on grounding. When we’re not grounded, meditation or any aspect of channeling, energy work, etc. will carry fears, ego thought perceptions and other insecurities. grounding is a huge aspect of meditation because if our roots are not fully grounded it can make our energy imbalanced and offkilter. It sounds as if you have an overactive anja chakra to me. I used to have this problem a lot too, i would just constantly carry that airy floaty fairy vibe like i’m always on a spiritual high but my energy wasn’t very grounded so i would tend to have anxiety and even panic attacks. Ultimately it came down to eatting a more balanced diet, spending time in nature, working on visualization techniques and also being more in tune with my thoughts.
Diet is a huge thing when it comes to grounding because it not only empowers the root it helps the solar plexus. So trying to eat a balance of lots of protein, limited starches and tons of veggies will really help, along with water. Of course we all like pleasure foods which are okay in moderation but protein is ideal for grounding.
Visualization is another thing, before you start any meditation or energy work say a chant, visualize your legs shapeshifting into roots, become a tree and those roots are connected into the dirt, into the grass into Mother earth, really feel connected. If you can go outside, sit under a tree or lay on the grass, or do a walking meditation but really try to visualize it. Golden light shooting from your arms and legs connected into the earth by a golden thread of light. there are so many ways to envision, have fun with it and use your imagination 🙂
Being more in tune is all about learning to separate the ego from feelings and learning to question our ego thoughts and why we have them. It’s a practice and it takes lots of time to realize and truly understand our own psyche. Given you have such a powerful anja i think once you ground you’ll have a more stable outlook of yourself.
I also have to mention crystals because i LOVE crystals for grounding. Black Kyanite would be excellent for you, Hematite, Bloodstone, black obsidian or tourmaline, there are so many lol.
Here’s also a fun link i found:

There are so many ways to ground, definitely look into researching it and find out what works best for you!
Sending love and healing <3
