We have now completed the first spiral of Cycles of Healing (32 articles), laying the groundwork for linking the new moon with the Great Year Ages and all that involves. This second spiral will look at the new and full moon charts. If you are new to Western Sidereal Astrology, please read this article. The full moon at 9° Leo 29’, is exact at 1:20 pm along with 26° Jupiter (expansive philosophy) and the 28° North Node (destiny), set to broaden our inner world if not our outer. These three are in the third house of communication, so we look for opportunities to express ourselves creatively; say what needs to be said in some appropriate form or fashion. Although Jupiter is still retrograde, so the limelight may not be shining upon us yet, if there is a chance to step up and be noticed, do so. What we started at the new moon may be about to come forth into embodiment, or we get necessary clarity about some aspect in our lives that we are trying to shift.Six months from now the new moon will be in Leo, the end/beginning of a larger cycle. Use this cycle expansively; Notice how life evolves from now until then.
The ruler of Leo, the Sun, is in Aquarius, the opposite polarity to the full moon. We let our fuel be high-conscious, globally oriented wisdom. We choose the highest path we can authentically reach at this point in our life. We do what we know we must for the good of all our Relations.
Mars is just entering a new sign, that of 6th house Scorpio, and will be here until the latter part of September (except for its retrograde motion back into Libra the last half of June and first half of July). We seek to be true to ourselves and transparent about our desires. We express clearly (to ourselves and others) what it is we need and want. Taking special care to curb impulsiveness within the daily sphere of things, we pay attention to the details (and our health) even though it may make us crazy because we just want to zoom forward. It will pay off in the long run.
Chiron in 9th house Aquarius opposes Jupiter in the third. We feel a strong quest for freedom and truth. Perhaps something is communicated to us, or we are able to communicate something, that will facilitate healing in a very important way. Long distance, either in time or space, may be a catalyst. Follow where it takes you; let go.
On February 24th Venus and Neptune semi-sextile at 15° Capricorn and Aquarius respectively. We may have to work at bringing magic into our lives, we certainly want it there. Dull and boring, average and mediocre won’t do. What do we value and how do we want this to show up in our life? Dream dreams of beauty, harmony and compassion. Journal, paint, actively listen to music, hang out quietly in nature.
We are in a period of vast Aquarian energies. This chart, the next new moon and the Spring Equinox all have a predominance of Aquarian influences in the 9th, 6th and 4th houses respectively. We are laying the groundwork for something important. Collectively we can expand our philosophies, gain healing and balance daily activities, and shift our home base energies into a different realm if we are ready.
